Primal Princess

Great WOD today, a few new moves. Alot of core work especially and a run afterwards. I actually did today’s WOD with my Mom, great fun and bonding!

Came home made some scrambled eggs with spinach and uncured bacon. Showered. Hydrated.

Now that i feel like a new woman, i am just trying to figure out what to do for this holiday weekend. The sun is out, after being MIA for weeks here in Florida. Just may have to take advantage of this.

Most of all i plan to not cheat this weekend nutrition wise. Sticking to strict Paleo with maybe a few cocktails in there. But definitely NO GRAINS! Should be easy considering how much i feel like crap when i eat them and what they do to my body.

Oh and i weighed myself and i lost a few lbs this week. Just goes to show how much of this is nutrition. Feeling quite pleased with myself right about now :)

Headed to CF for an early morning Saturday WOD. My 6th one in a row.

Way to come back strong after a week of being sick in bed with the flu.

Nutrition has been excellent and i can really feel it in my body. I feel light and energetic. Oh and my size 8 clothes are starting to get loose on me. 

INCREDIBLE FEELING.

It’s crazy to think that the next size i will drop down to will be a size 6!!! 

I have NEVER EVER been that size. It seems like i spent most of my life wearing a size 14, so this is half of my old size. Oh and at my biggest i was a size 18, still crazy to believe.

I cannot wait until i can proudly say, that i went from a size 18 to a size 6 !!

So i went for a couple job interviews today, both went well. 

But what made me really smile today was that someone referred to me as skinny and asked if i was a model. WINNING!

Okay so that just totally put me in a good mood for the rest of the day. I plan on hitting the town with my man tonight, dressing to impress because i feel CONFIDENT!

..On another note, today’s workout was rough. I wouldn’t be surprised if i had problems walking correctly in the morning.

Good Morning Tumblr World!

I’ve already had my healthy breakfast, just about to get ready for my WOD:

Partner AMRAP:

  • Wall Balls
  • 200 meter run

*one partner runs while other tries to get as many reps as possible of WB’s. Both partners must perform 30 kickouts before swapping.

Score is total wall ball shots in 15 minutes.

Let’s do this!! 

My legs are so sore from deadlifts on Wednesday, and yesterday’s Burpee/Sprint/Broad jump workout. This is going to be interesting!!

Afterwards i have a job interview at an upscale resort for poolside cocktail serving, wish me luck!!

By the way thank you to all you Crossfitters out there who responded to my question yesterday.

It seems many of you dropped a good amount of weight.

But now i ask, how many of you were exercising regularly and had already lost a substantial amount of weight before beginning your CF journey?

When i started CF back at the end of February i had reached my lowest weight ever. I was running regularly, i was in pretty decent shape. This is why i feel that i have put on weight since starting and that it is all muscle.

Any of you experience the same thing?

So it is before 11am and i already have dinner cooking in the crockpot.

I decided to make a Paleo friendly Pot Roast. I chopped up turnips, parsnips, onions and carrots to accompany a nice large piece of chuck roast. Planning on serving the pot roast on top of some cauliflower rice, should help soak up the juices from the roast. YUM! Can’t wait.

Yesterday was a good day, didn’t over eat, everything i ate was clean. I have cut down on my sweets tremendously, which has been tough but i am getting used to it.

My WOD yesterday went amazingly ! I PR’d my deadlift at 155#! Woop woop! Oh and i managed a 2 mile run after my CF workout.

Today’s WOD is 15 rounds of burpees, 25 meter sprints and broad jumps, i think i am in for a good beating…

Breakfast i had scrambled eggs with fresh herbs and smoked salmon. 

Hoping for another ‘A’ day today.

Okay so today was all lifting, so i am going to make myself run for a mile or two in order to get some cardio in.

I had my measurements done today also and i guess that’s where the extra motivation comes from because i was a bit disappointed. 

I did lose quite some inches, but not as much as i was hoping for. Oh and my weight is up 6 lbs since i started, which i was told would happen but ugh, was hoping it for more results! I feel good and that’s what matters and i see the difference physically, i am surely more toned and defined than i have ever been. But at the same time i feel a little let down.

All i can do now is work harder, and i think i need more than just Crossfit alone. I need to get myself active outside of the gym also, biking, running, swimming, whatever. I just need more.

So i am hopping on the dreadmill and getting some more cardio for the day.

September is here, new month, new goals. Ready to see more physical changes!

Off to tackle today’s WOD.

Lots of Oly Lifting today, finding max weight for deadlifts and max reps for Sumo Deadlift High Pulls.

My PR for Deadlifts is only 115lbs right now, haven’t tried anything heavier. Hoping to do 135lbs today, we shall see!

Can’t seem to be able to keep up with my Tumblring. Sorry guys!

I am here, just recovering from the flu. Tried to go back to Crossfit yesterday without success, still feeling it in my head.

Today i will be trying for it again. Hoping i can lift some weights without feeling dizzy, which seemed to be a big problem for me during yesterday’s workout.

Good news is they have brought back heavy weights to our gym!!

Bad news is i can’t RX as easily anymore. 

My new goals: Clean 95# ! , Deadlift 180#!

Will probably take me a few months or so to get there, but a girl can dream. As of now my PRs are as follows:  Clean, 75# …. Deadlift 115#.

Also hoping to get my first kipping pull-up! Fingers crossed, getting closer!!

Yesterday we did wall climbs and i absolutely love these! I was able to get my stomach pretty close to the wall! Such a fun move!!

As for my eating, i have been pretty darn good! Well except for a couple cheats this weekend. I have been limiting my wine consumption, and well being sick definitely helped facilitate this. Working at keeping it up.

I am officially up 5lbs since starting Crossfit, but i am smaller than i have ever been! My stomach has cuts in it and is showing the beginnings of a two-pack!

Will be posting pics later this week. Just want to get some good workouts in first. Last week i only managed two Crossfit WODs and this week so far just one shitty one. So we will see how it goes today.
